Saw a great gray owl hunting for breakfast around 8 am this morning about 400 yards from
the beginning of Old Vermilion Trail just north of Duluth.

Photo of the owl may be seen via my blog ...

forest/

As a fyi, I am maintaining a winter bird feeding station on public land on Old Vermilion
Trail. So far just normal winter birds are eating at the feeders. Here is a map to the feeder
with other notes: http://www.365daysofbirds.com/old-vermilion-trail-forest-winter-birding-
map/
