A report to me of two owls seen on Jan. 12 at sunset prompted me to search
for both this morning between 0800 and 1000. Two owls were located. One
dark young owl 500 yards east of 120th Ave, 1/2 mile north of 700th St. (a
favorite high vantage point in this field). A second whiter owl was seen
roosting in a corn stubble field near the center of the section bounded by
690th St. on the south and 140th Ave. on the west.
