Myself and 3 other birders from Rochester and Faribault flound 3 Snowy Owls
in the previously reported Steele Co. location south of NE 50th St off NE
84th Ave. The Steele SWCD wetland restoration project offers good owl
habitat. It is locally known as the Kraay marsh.

Two of the owls were in Steele Co. One owl was atop a steel fence post
along a drainage ditch east of 84th and the second was in the short grass
west of 84th Ave. This owl then flew and sat on the raised bucket arm of
a backhoe. The third owl was found about a mile east (Dodge Co.) on NE
50th.(which becomes 555th St.in Dodge Co.)

Many thanks to the team effort in locating three birds.
