Thanks to Gerry Hoekstra, yesterday Erika and I were able to list a flock
of six Surf Scoters on Roy Lake in northwestern Rice Co. As you travel east
to west, the birds fed about half-way across the lake. They were not hard
to find, but they were distant, as you will see in my photos on my blog:
