After ten years of annual pilgrimages to the Sax-Zim Bog in search of a
Great Gray Owl, we finally found one. Two photos are on my blog this
morning: http://dantallmansbirdblog.blogspot.com

We saw the owl on Sunday morning near the Friends of Sax-Zim Bog’s Welcome
Center on Owl Avenue. The bog was a bit surreal, full of dozens of birders
driving 5 mph. To find an owl, look for cars stopped in the middle of the
road.
