Andy Nyhus just called to report that he and Dedrick Benz are looking at a
breeding-plumaged White-winged Scoter at the Osakis sewage ponds in Douglas
County. These ponds are located just south of town on the west side of
Clifford Lake Rd. SE; the scoter is in the middle pond. He also mentioned
that Eared Grebes and Short-billed Dowitchers are present among a
smattering of shorebirds and waterfowl.
