I agree that UMConnect would be very nice, especially on days when I'm too busy to trek across campus to that month's meeting location (like today, most likely). However, if the technological challenges are too great, at least getting video and audio of the main presentations for later viewing would be very helpful, especially with more organized and focused topics.
I apologize if this has been discussed before, but do you think you will ever begin broadcasting these meetings via UMConnect? I would be more likely to attend virtually since I work at home on Fridays. On Wed, Oct 19, 2011 at 10:31 AM, Dan Sagisser <[log in to unmask]> wrote:The next Web Standards meeting is this Friday, October 21st.
As always, pizza and networking from about 11:30 to noon, then the presentation!
Topic: Email systems
Detail: This will be a a panel format. We'll have a few people talk about what systems they use for mass email, Lyris, Pinpoint, and Mail Chimp will all be covered. Then will open it up for discussion. This will be a very non technical talk, so if you're trying to figure out your best options for email, come learn and share.
