Hi Forum:

UR received a request for help with a broken video training site [see description below]. We do not do this sort of work and would like to help out the unit in question by at least forwarding them a resource.

OIT has been contacted but does not have support for this any more.

Does anyone else use Flash and responsive training modules? Developer info would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Problem:

Department with a legacy web site that hosts a video training which is required by several departments on campus.
The video is apparently interactive and once completed is tied to an employees account as having been completed.

Service issues:

1. Portal may crash during viewing.
2. Portal will not allow viewers to pause and resume. It will not remember where viewers left off.
3. Any of these browsers may or may not work: Chrome, IE and Firefox.
4. An update to the current Adobe Flash Player does not always help with the problem.
5. We are not sure if this is because the Portal is too old or if it is new and has some undocumented requirements of a computer.
