Well-Being Wednesday
Gratitude. The willingness to show appreciation and return kindness to others. It is a giving cycle that consequently benefits the giver as well. Health benefits of giving gratitude include improving relationships, self-care, and sleep, and it can give you a happiness that lasts. Go out and give kindness to the world because you never know how a selfless act might benefit you!
A reminder that WBI sent out a student survey regarding the well-being of students. It is important that we know how you are feeling to better understand how we can help. Also, there will be one random winner for a falafel party! Sign up below!

WBI has been working with other organizations and students to make an outline database. We encourage other students and groups to reach out to add to the database for all.

With the semester winding down there are less activities happening for us all to study for finals. While it may get hard to maintain physical activity, we all can treat our bodies with a healthy meal. Below is a link to 40 healthy college meals that anyone can cook!

Wake-Up Wednesdays will happen for two more weeks (12/1, 12/8) at 8 am in N20.
Gratitude
With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I wanted to spread some gratitude too. It is widely known that gratitude can play a large role in well-being. From Oprah to HuffPost to the many peer-reviewed scientific articles, gratitude is something we hear often, but sometimes I do not give myself the time to reflect on the things I am grateful for.
I am grateful:
To be at an amazing school with a community that provides a safe space where I do not feel like I must hide my authentic self.
For classmates who support and help each other. Like sharing notes if someone is gone, being very thorough and prompt on group projects, and going above and beyond with helpful peer review comments on the open memo.
For classmates who are excited to celebrate with each other. I have seen baskets of cards and planned surprise birthday parties. I am in awe at the amount of joy that we have shared.
For the classmates who have noticed when I have struggled and offered a kind word, some Tylenol, notes, and a listening ear.
To the people on GroupMe who make very niche memes that make my day brighter.
To the professors and staff who have listened to me when I have told them I am struggling and offered a listening ear and helpful advice.
To the people on the councils and committees that I am a part of for sharing a seat at the table with me so we can attempt to push forward ideas that may benefit the school.
To anyone who reads this article. I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving break and I am grateful for you.
