I'd like to use cynaide to block respiration of cell monolayers in perfusion
experiments. I'd be grateful for any hints (particulary with regard to
safety) about its use.

1. Is it stable (and active) at pH 7.2, room temp for 12-14 hr?
2. Does 100 uM generally block oxygen consumption, specifically?
3. Can it be dissolved in distilled water (in a chemical hood), and stored
frozen as a concentrated stock soln. (?1M?)? for ?6 months?
4. Is it known to absorb/fluoresce in visible wavelengths?
5. It looks pretty straightforward from the literature, is this the case,
from those who have used it?

Thanks in advance, for any help,
