Call for Papers: History of Science Society.  Crossing Borders.  The program committee has selected the theme, Crossing Borders, to give coherence and structure to the annual meeting and to encourage exchange with the affiliated meetings of the Philosophy of Science Association and the Society for Social Studies of Science.  Deadline is 2 April 2002. http://athena.english.vt.edu/cgi-bin/netforum/ishlist/a/14--5.1.1

2. Joint Atlantic Seminar for the History of Biology: Call for Papers.  Graduate students and recent graduates interested in the history of the biological and biomedical sciences are encourages to submit abstracts for consideration.  Deadline is 1 March, 2002.  http://athena.english.vt.edu/cgi-bin/netforum/ishlist/a/14--5.2.1

3. Human Stem Cell Research Seminar:  Foundations of the Debate.  This seminar is designed to give participants both background information and a forum to explore the foundations of the questions surrounding stem cell research.  These questions are multi-dimensional, ranging through not only science and medicine, but also public policy, philosophy and religion.
