1. Call for Papers: History of Science Society. Crossing
Borders. The program committee has selected the theme, Crossing
Borders, to give coherence and structure to the annual meeting and to
encourage exchange with the affiliated meetings of the Philosophy of
Science Association and the Society for Social Studies of
Science. Deadline is 2 April 2002.

3. Human Stem Cell Research Seminar: Foundations of the
Debate. This seminar is designed to give participants both
background information and a forum to explore the foundations of the
questions surrounding stem cell research. These questions are
multi-dimensional, ranging through not only science and medicine, but
also public policy, philosophy and religion. The seminar will be held
April 3-4 in Old Town, Alexandria, VA.
