We always agreed to publicize the symposium by means of fliers announcing it to meeting participants at the ISH registration desk, as asked to us by Dr. Hofer and Prof. Hubenstorf (registration starts tomorrow at 3 pm). As of now, Tuesday July 15,1600 hours CET, we have not received any materials from the organizer(s) (in fact, we had not seen the document announcing the symposium program until we read your attachment), but we assume that the said fliers will be made available to us in time for distribution. If the organizer(s) also provide us with posters (this is the first time we see posters mentioned) we will gladly put them up. Although we cannot speak for Rob Skipper, the ISH webmaster, or Roberta Millstein, who manages the ISH listserv, we are sure that they would have been understanding and cooperative had they been requested to announce the symposium in due time. Given that the ISH meeting starts tomorrow and that most participants are now on their way, if they have not already arrived in Vienna, it seems pointless to make an email announcement to all participants at this late time still. What we can do is see to it that ISH meeting participants registering tomorrow before 8 pm (when the symposium starts) are duly informed. In fact, since we now possess the official program of the symposium, we will multiply it ourselves if the organizer(s) do not deliver their materials in time. Werner Callebaut and Astrid Juette Local Arrangements, ISH 2003 P.S. to Roberta: Roberta, if you are still there, please announce this on the listserv. --- end forwarded text [Moderator's note: I will confirm that I did not receive information about the symposium until the Sunday before the conference, when I was out of town. -RLM] -- DIRECTIONS FOR SUBSCRIBING Send an email message to: [log in to unmask] with the following in the body of the message: SUBSCRIBE ISHPSB-L Yourfirstname Yourlastname For example, if your name were Gregor Mendel: SUBSCRIBE ISHPSB-L Gregor Mendel DIRECTIONS FOR UNSUBSCRIBING Send an email message to: [log in to unmask] with the following in the body of the message: SIGNOFF ISHPSB-L ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Professor Roberta L.
