3. The University of Utah Department of Philosophy is hosting its
annual Colloquium this year on the topic of Environmental Ethics,
Science and Policy, April 7-10, 2005.

4. Lewis and Clark College invites applications for a tenure-line
position as Chair of  the Environmental Studies Program, beginning
Fall 2005.  They seek an individual from within any field in the
natural or social sciences or the humanities, with interdisciplinary
experience in environmental studies, whose expertise will strengthen
and complement their present curriculum.  Review of applications will
begin on October 15th, 2004 and continue until the position is
filled.

5. Duke University invites applications for its one year NSF
post-doctoral fellowship for scholars who are completing their
doctorates or have pretenure research leaves.

6. The 10th Annual Meeting of the International Society for the
History of the Neurosciences will be held at New Hall, St Andrew's
University, St Andrew's, Scotland from Tuesday July 5th to Saturday
July 9th, 2005.  A call for submissions is forthcoming.

7. Workshop: "How complexities of the social environment shape the
ways that society makes use of knowledge about 'genetic' conditions,"
