Interested Grain Marketers, The Minnesota Master Marketer Program is returning for an eighth year in 2006! This six-day educational program is designed to develop and improve marketing skills for grain producers and ag professionals. The 2006 Master Marketer Program, sponsored by the Center for Farm Financial Management, will be held at the Holiday Inn behind Cabela's in Owatonna, MN on January 18-19, February 1-2, and February 15-16. Since 1999, over 450 growers and ag professionals have participated in 12 different Master Marketer Programs. This program aims to improve marketing skills, increase farm revenues, and encourage the development of local marketing clubs. Our line-up of speakers is strong and they will cover a broad range of topics including futures and options strategies, fundamental and technical price analysis, crop insurance, pre and post harvest marketing plans, weather trends, and marketing clubs. Speakers returning from last year include one of our nation's premier experts on grain markets, Dr. Robert Wisner of Iowa State University, noted technical analyst Alan Brugler, top-notch meteorologist Dr. Elwynn Taylor of Iowa State University, and climatologist Dr. Mark Seeley of the University of Minnesota The registration fee for the six-day session is $350 per person, and includes lunches and handouts. Spouses can attend for an additional $200. Sign-up is limited to 75 people. We expect a strong turnout, so act quickly to save your spot in the program.
