Wisconsin birders have found three November Summer Tanagers. All may be females. My efforts to search the archives have met with frustration. So, I'll just inquire. Has MN found these out-of-range and late season birds in recent years? Have you any conclusions about the reason for this? With the known nesting areas well south into Illinois, post-breeding dispersal seems unlikely. Are these birds directionally challenged? They should be in Mexico and points south. h **************Life should be easier. So should your homepage. Try the NEW AOL.com.
