This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, February 5th 2009.

In Duluth, the male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen again at Canal Park on
the 3rd.

In Lake County, four SPRUCE GROUSE were found on the 3rd along county
road 2, a mile and a half south of Forest Road 11. North of here, an
AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER has been seen by several people along
Spruce Road which goes east from state highway 1 about 14 miles
northwest of Lake County Road 2. The bird was just east of Endless
Waters Way Road.

A SNOWY OWL was reported on the 5th near the Eagan Community Center in
Dakota County, just west of Pilot Knob Road between Lone Oak and Yankee
Doodle roads.

There is an interesting report of a very early OSPREY on the Mississippi
River on the 1st at the Lake Street bridge in Minneapolis. And I am
still getting many reports of NORTHERN FLICKER, AMERICAN ROBIN, COMMON
REDPOLL, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL, and RED CROSSBILL.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, February 12th 2009.
