This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, April 2nd 2009.

On March 28th, a EURASIAN WIGEON was at the north end of Peterson Lake in Wabasha County. It was seen from the lake's boat launch.

In Duluth, the immature GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was seen again on the 29th at 21 East College Street.

An adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was on the ice at Diamond Lake in south Minneapolis on the 28th.

Two TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES were at the Ann Lake/Sand Dunes campground in Sherburne NWR on the 28th.

Returning migrants include GREAT EGRET, BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, and FOX SPARROW,
