Hello Birders, My wife and I observed a singing male Cerulean Warbler on the Blue Hill Trail at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge this morning. The location was on a short, steep section of the main trail just past the northern outlet of the scenic overlook trail. We observed him for 5-10 minutes. He remained above us in the same tree for the entire time, frequently perching on some dead branches and twigs just below the canopy for some good looks. We took the loop through the spruces to the lake, took the firebreak back to the main trail and were able to hear him near the same location farther to the west, but were unable to spot him again. That's a Sherburne County lifer for both of us.
