2. Local and global (by phone or skype) participants sought for an

3. The Department for the History of Science and the Program in 
Women, Gender and Sexuality [WGS] at Harvard University invite 
applications and nominations for a tenure-track appointment that will 
be located half-time in each program.  The appointment is intended to 
advance research and teaching on questions and themes at the 
intersection of history of science (including medicine and 
technology) and historical and contemporary scholarship on women, 
gender, and sexuality.  Deadline for applications is October 15, 
2009.

4. BSHS Monographs enjoys its 30th birthday in 2009. To celebrate, 
they've created a digital collection of past monographs. This goes 
"live" in advance of the 2-5 July 2009 annual meeting of the Society 
at the University of Leicester. These monographs are available for 
viewing and download free-of-charge.

5. The Department of Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati, 
Cincinnati, OH seeks a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor to begin 
1 September 2009. The successful candidate must teach introductory 
lecture courses in philosophy through film, and contemporary moral 
and political ideas. The department has  additional teaching 
opportunities in philosophy of mind, epistemology,  philosophy of 
law, feminist philosophy, environmental ethics, and business ethics. 
Initial consideration of  applications began 15 June 2009. The 
position will remain open until filled.

6. The Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the 
University of Cambridge seeks to appoint to three positions, 
available from 1 October 2009: 1) Events and Outreach Officer in 
History of Medicine, 2) Two-year Postdoctoral Research Associate in 
History of Reproductive Sciences, and 3) One-year Research Assistant 
in Modern Social and Medical History.  The closing date is 24 July 
2009 and interviews will be in September.
