This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, July 9th 2009.

Two SNOWY EGRETS were at the Purgatory Creek wetlands in Eden Prairie,
Hennepin County on the 8th.

Two NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS were in Stillwater, Washington County on the
8th, near the Goodwill Industries building south of state highway 36,
about half a mile east of Stillwater Blvd.

A few fall migrant shorebirds have begun to show up in southern
Minnesota, including LESSER YELLOWLEGS, BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHER, and LEAST SANDPIPER. A BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER was along
the bluff trail at the Old Cedar Bridge in Hennepin County on the 8th.
