On November 30th, an IBIS was discovered in Blue Earth County at the Roberts WPA between Good Thunder and Mapleton and it was still present on the 1st, making the first December record of any ibis in Minnesota. From highway 30 go north on county road 18 and in less than a mile you will reach the WPA on the north side of the road. Take a right onto county road 166 and go less than a quarter mile. The bird was foraging here on both sides of the road. Another IBIS was in Clay County on November 27th just south of the town of Hawley.

A CAROLINA WREN is visiting the feeders of Cal and Delores Paulson near Mankato in Blue Earth County. Take state highway 22 south from Mankato to county road 15. Go east to Rose Lane. The Paulson house is located on the left corner where the road takes a right to a turnaround.

And two TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES were still at the Ann Lake campground in Sherburne NWR on the 30th.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, December 10th 2009.
