Sax-Zim CBC 

The ten participants in the 24th Consecutive Sax-Zim CBC turned up a near-record 33 species.
Mild conditions with a low of 20 degrees and a high of 24 degrees. Snow fell most of the day.

Highlights:
BOREAL OWL--Found by Tony Hertzel at dawn. On Owl Avenue (CR 202/203 N. of Meadowlands) at point where Owl Avenue angles to the Northeast. It was seen perched briefly then flew S-SE as if making an attack. Further searching did not turn up the bird later in the day. This is the 7TH OWL SPECIES recorded by the Sax-Zim CBC.
