The northern hawk reported yesterday by Butch Ukura was still at the same location but just north (~0.2 miles) of CR 18 on the east side on Hwy 169 perched at the top of a large white pine this morning around 9:10 and again this afternoon at 1:30. Did not locate the great grey owl on CR 18 but did observe a short-eared owl flying low over willow brushland about 1.2 miles east of Hwy 169 on CR 18; also saw 3 sharp-tailed grouse at this location too.
