Chris, one thing that would be a very useful addition to this wiki would be a diagram of the authentication process similar to the one you set up for cookieauth:

Don't forget you need to contact the Identity Management team before you begin.  They are
[log in to unmask].  They are very helpful and did a great job helping me through the process.

This can be very helpful.  For example, if you have a PHP application, then depending on how your application uses authentication, it might make sense to use the Shibboleth SP (and pull attributes from environment variables) or simpleSAMLphp for more direct integration.
