Diamond Awards, Minnesota’s premier baseball charity event, takes place on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Target Field. Event proceeds benefit the University of Minnesota's innovative research and patient care focused on ataxia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, and ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

At the event, current and former Minnesota Twins players are honored for outstanding performances on and off the field. The festivities include a reception and silent auction, and a seated dinner during a televised awards ceremony. Diamond Awards draws more than 500 guests each year.

Event volunteers are needed to help with coat check, assemble gift bags, assist with silent auction check-out, meet and greet guests as well as direct them to and from the parking ramps.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to your community, meet new and interesting people, and assist in the process of raising critical funds to help further neurological health research. Volunteer with co-workers, friends, or family!
