Nutcracker in NE Lac qui Parle County at 4:30pm this afternoon. It was in a stand of spruce on the south side of 330th St about a quarter-mile east of Hwy119. I will post a photo on recently seen page of the MOU site. Also of note today was a Townsend's Solitaire that has overwintered at Hantho Beach. Lac Qui Parle Lake had 21 species of waterfowl today (no Bufflehead, Blue-winged Teal or swans yet), plus Pied-billed Grebes, Coots, and Ring-billed Gulls. Several hundred Greater White-fronted Geese seen moving throughout the area, but only one small group of Snow Geese. -- Bill J.
