I've used Tweetwally before: http://www.tweetwally.com/ - you can save it
with a custom URL and then display it however you want (projected on a wall,
direct people to the URL, etc).

An event hashtag should be something short enough not to get in the way of
character count/retweets, but be sure to check any hashtag you want to
use... it might already be in use, and for something reeeeallly different
than your event!
