I second this information.  =o)

Be careful, though, because even new phone are shipping with pre-froyo versions of Android.  It's all about the OS version, not the newness of the handset.  Older handsets may be upgradable or have upgraded to Froyo, but others just can't because of their underpowered hardware or because Motorola or Samsung or LG or HTC or whomever manufactured it decided it wasn't worth their time to support that handset's user base.

Hi,

It depends on which version of Android you're running.  On pre froyo
builds (like my old hero), you'll need to bind your phone to your UMN
account.  If you've got a newer build (like my new evo shift), you
should be able to switch between google accounts.

Hope that helps,

And of course, get a second opinion--my info might be out of date now.

Cheers,

Garrett
