This is the Duluth Birding Report for June 23rd, 2011 sponsored by the
Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was seen by Audrey Evers on the 19th and 20th at
Fisherman's Point on Whitewater Lake in Hoyt Lakes.

Jan and Larry Kraemer saw a flock of 11 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS on the
16th at Interstate Island in the Duluth Harbor.

Bob Myers reports that WHIP-POOR-WILLS are being heard on a regular
basis on the north side of Silver Bay in Lake County. Bob also heard
three BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLERS on the 15th on Mt. Trudee in
Tettegouche State Park.
