Late this afternoon I found a Snowy Egret at the Waterville Fish Hatchery Ponds on Co. Rd. 14 west of Waterville. One of the ponds has now been drawn down and this is where the bird was first seen. It then flew to a tree and left the area. This appears to be a late fall date for this species. There was also a Semipalmated Plover at this location.
