This morning I attempted to relocate the adult (probable male) Snowy Owl that I reported in yesterday's post. I did not find that owl in the neighborhood but I did find a juvenile. This owl was very heavily streaked. When I first this bird from a distance I thought it was a hawk (backlight did not help), but as I drew closer its ID was unmistakable. This individual was located 3/4 mile west of CR 3 on 700th St. In my birding lifetime Snowy's have been solitary treats, this is the first time I've seen two in less than 24 hours.
