Today, June 12th, the Raptor Center rec'd a report of a Snowy Owl sitting on a roof (for several days) in Vadnais Heights. The report said that it had killed and eaten a black squirrel. Volunteer Terry Headley drove to Cty Rd E and Labor Rd and was able to view the bird for several minutes before it flew off. The Snowy was a very dirty colored male and had a numbered wing band. Turns out he was banded in Duluth 3 years ago. The bird was not seen again. Please report any sightings to the Raptor Center at 612-624-4745. ------------------------------- Ben Wilson (651) 332-1362 mobile (651) 493-9406 home (303) 527-0676 ext 118 work [log in to unmask] ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
