We, in Crookston, might be interested in a subscription "seat(s)" if the University as a whole looked into a large seat count.  Thanks Mike for the great idea!

Community,

I am interested in lynda as well.  UW-Madison I know has it available to most faculty/staff.  Would their be interest in joining forces and investing in a large seat count.  I would be fine leading the charge on this if the interest is there.

Would another tool or tools for training be more beneficial?

Let me know you thoughts.

Sending note to UVUC (University Video User Community) as well.

We have a yearly subscription and find it worth it. Have had it for 4 years or so. It's definitely cheaper than a class, and quicker than a book. Especially if you're just investigating a technology.

We are thinking about buying a couple memberships to Lynda.com but I wanted to see if it was worth it.  Does anyone use that site?
