On the 6th, Sandy Aubol had a Tennessee warbler in her yard. On August 8, she saw two red-headed woodpeckers at the East Grand Forks State Recreation area with three young. 17 chimney swifts were visible from her yard that day, and a white-throated sparrow made an appearance there. A pileated woodpecker was observed by Shelley Steva in Thief River Falls, Pennington County, on August 9. Two common ravens were seen three miles east of Warren in Marshall County on August 6. Beth Siverhus in Warroad, Roseau County, reported a merlin, green heron, and common terns on August 1.
