At 3:45 this afternoon there was a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher on the east side of US 71 in northern Cottonwood County. The bird was approximately one mile south of the Redwood County line. It was just south of a building site with several large orange dumpsters (I think it is or was a salvage yard). The bird was perched on a telephone(?) wire, then on the fence on the edge of the road Right-of-way just south of this building site.
