On September 6th, a MISSISSIPPI KITE flew over Hawk Ridge in Duluth. This is the 3rd record of Mississippi Kite this fall. And a total of 15,204 BROAD-WINGED HAWKS flew past the ridge on the 9th. Bruce Fall found an immature YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON on the 8th near the shore of Long Meadow Lake at the Bass Ponds area of Bloomington, Hennepin County. This was at the overlook near the southwest end of the Hogback Ridge pond. Fall migrants reported since last week include GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, SANDERLING, NELSON'S SPARROW, LINCOLN'S SPARROW, and WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW.
