While driving back to Duluth from Sugarloaf Cove this evening, I found a Great Gray Owl hunting alongside the road. The roads were an absolute mess this evening, with the currently-falling snow taking place. I headed towards Sugarloaf Cove early this morning, to give presentations on Raptor ID as well as birds within Sax-Zim Bog. Other than a few flyover crows and ravens, no unusual birds were seen while en-route to the cove. While at the Cove, we had many Black-capped Chickadees, but no other noted birds (likely due to the heavy snowfall) Here is a picture of the Great Gray Owl from this evening http://www.pbase.com/image/149128784 Good birding, Erik Bruhnke Duluth, MN -- *NATURALLY AVIAN* - Birding Tours and Bird Photography [log in to unmask] (e-mail) www.naturallyavian.com (birding tours) www.pbase.com/birdfedr (photos) www.facebook.com/NaturallyAvian (facebook) ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
