This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday July 18th, 2013.

A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was still singing on the east side of the
Nature Store parking lot at Whitewater State Park in Winona County. Chad
Heins found it there on the 16th. On the 10th, Chad also found a male
BLUE GROSBEAK in Blue Earth County at the gravel pit along 216th Street,
northwest of the junction of state highways 68 and 60.

On the 13th, a CATTLE EGRET was reported southwest of the town of Mayer
in Carver County, along 82nd Street and just south of 78th Street.

A few fall migrants have been reported over the past week, most of them
being shorebirds including GREATER YELLOWLEGS, SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER,
LEAST SANDPIPER, BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, and SOLITARY SANDPIPER. Interesting
was the July 16th report of a NASHVILLE WARBLER in Zumbrota Township,
Goodhue County.

The next scheduled update is Thursday July 26th, 2013.
