This morning I met Josh and Evan Wallestad at Whitewater State Park. After missing the yellow-throated warbler at 7 and only being able to hear a Louisiana Waterthrush on Trout Run Creek we returned to the Nature Store Picnic area around 8:30 to search for the yellow-throated warbler again. We successfully found a singing adult, but noticed three other (unidentified) warblers that were exhibiting juvenile behavior by begging for food. After all birds flew over the road and out of sight we returned to our cars to consult a field guide for juvenile birds of this species, but found that we had both left them at home. At the same time Herb Dingmann pulled in and after a short time we found one adult and two others. The others continued to beg for food and fluffed up similar other species.
