I was able to re-find a Snowy Owl in Kandiyohi County late this afternoon on CR28 a mile west of CR2 (N of Atwater). It was SW of the intersection of CR28 and the road 1mi from CR2. Afterwards, I drove through the area of 130th & 255th (see below) but I did not see that owl (but I didn't spend a lot of time there). I also spotted a Snowy Owl in Stearns County that I don't believe had been reported yet. It was on a power pole along US71 between Belgrade (Hwy55) and Elrosa - just north of the intersection with CR175. The bird was close to the MM152 sign where US71 bends north. The bird was seen from 130th st. NE, looking west, south of the intersection with 255th ave. Though this location is only about a mile from a previous sighting, yesterday's bird appeared to show much darker coloration, so is presumed different.
