On our way home from viewing the Hutchinson Snowy Owl today (we couldn't find the Hawk Owl!) we spotted a Snowy atop a power pole along Highway 7. This location was seven miles west of the roundabout at Highways 7 and 25 here in Carver County, timing was around 6 PM. We were very surprised to see this individual as we hadn't seen anything reported of Snowies in that area. If it's helpful to anyone, I did get some pictures, although they aren't great as it was dusk and we didn't have long on the icy road.
