This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Friday August 1st, 2014.

A WOOD STORK was discovered in Washington County today by Eric Collins.
It was along Manning Trail just north of 155th Street North.

On July 27th, Wayne Feder found a WHIMBREL three-fourths mile north of
the I-90 Bricelyn exit in Fairbault County.

Josh Wallestad reported several BLUE GROSBEAKS in Renville County on
August 1st. They were at various spots north and south of 840th Avenue
between 270th Street and 300th Street.

Southbound migration reports have included BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER,
SANDERLING, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, CASPIAN TERN, OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER,
and EVENING GROSBEAK.
