This is the Duluth Birding Report for August 24th, 2014 sponsored by the
Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

Jan and Larry Kraemer found a BREWSTER'S WARBLER (BLUE-WINGED X
GOLDEN-WINGED) on the 17th at the 43rd Street bus stop on Park Point. It
was relocated as recentlyas the 22nd at the same location. A PARASITIC
JAEGER was found by Lars Benson on the 23rd on the bay side of Park
Point at the rowing club. Mike Hendrickson also reported a dark morph
JAEGER on the 21st at Lot 1 on Wisconsin Point.

Before the past several days of east winds and heavy overcast skies,
Karl Bardon and others counted 427 migrating COMMON NIGHTHAWKS on the
16th from Hawk Ridge.

Herb Dingmann saw a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE on the 22nd at the Castle
Danger sewage ponds.
