This is the Duluth Birding Report for September 7th, 2014 sponsored by
the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A RED KNOT was found by Terry Wiens on the 30th near the beach house at
Park Point. Bob Dunlap saw a light morph PARASITIC JAEGER on the 31st at
Park Point.

A SWAINSON'S HAWK was seen on the 6th at Hawk Ridge. Two RED-HEADED
WOODPECKERS and the first AMERICAN PIPT of the season were also seen on
the 6th. A PRAIRIE FALCON was banded at Hawk Ridge on August 26th.

Michael Majeski saw a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER on the 6th at Artist's
Point in Grand Marais, and it was still present on the 7th.
