Hey birders,

A visit to friends up near Kasota Prairie took me past a pair of Loggerhead Shrikes harassing a Red-tailed Hawk on a powerline.  These birds are being seen in extreme northern Blue Earth County along 570^th Avenue.  Take CR5 north from Mankato (3^rd Avenue) and turn west on 238^th Street (there’s a horse pasture on your left).  If you pass over a railroad track, you’ve gone too far.  The birds were within the first 0.5 mile right along the road.  They appear to be nesting so please minimize disturbance.
