This is the Duluth Birding Report for November 19th, 2015 sponsored by
the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH was found on the 14th by Tim Walker at Iona's
Beach SNA, about three miles northeast of Gooseberry Falls State Park.
Tod Eggenberger, Clinton Nienhaus and others saw a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD
on the 14th at the Ray Berglund Wayside Rest northeast of Tofte in Cook
County. Clinton’s group saw a SURF SCOTER and a BLACK SCOTER in the
Grand Marais harbor and three WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS and four LONG-TAILED
DUCKS at Good Harbor Bay west of Grand Marais. His group also saw
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS at Taconite Harbor and along Slater Drive in Beaver
Bay.

Ben Anderson saw two PACIFIC LOONS on the 14th near the Sky Harbor
Airport at Park Point. Several observers continue to report ICELAND
GULL, THAYER'S GULLS and GLAUCOUS GULLS from the Minnesota side of the
Superior Entry.

Karl Bardon and Steve Kolbe saw a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE fly by the Hawk
Ridge overlook on the 14th. More than 11,500 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen
there on the 13th.
