From Plainview city limits take Hiway 42 NE for 4 miles and turn right (south) on 215 Ave South for .3 miles.  Just before a farm on the right (west), there is a line of white-wrapped hay bales on the left (east).  A covey of 13 Gray Partridge were on the ground south of the bales and flew SE toward a line of evergreens running north/south.  The partridge landed and worked along a fence paralleling the west side of these trees.
