Migrants are slowly coming back, and there are many reports. I will be
unable to report all the species sighted this week, but will try to
indicate where the migrants are being seen. Naturally, there are more
reports of migrants from the southernmost counties and both warblers,
and shorebirds are represented there so we can expect them soon in the
north.

From Grant County on May 2, Wayne Perala reported WESTERN GREBE, HORNED
GREBE, AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, and DUNLIN at the North Ottawa
Impoundment; on May 3, he found LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, SPOTTED
SANDPIPERS, WILLET, SANDERLING, and AMERICAN BITTERN .

In Douglas County, Becca Engdahl found a LONG-TAILED DUCK at the Brandon
WTP on May 2.

In Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County, Wayne Perala reported UPLAND
