Our university, like many others(?), is changing how it handles electronic communications and software. I believe this list now is using the 3rd different software from what it started with back around 1993 or so (times flies). The university in all its wisdom (?) is now moving its handling of lists to “Google Groups”, and it should happen in the next day or so.
The new list will be called <[log in to unmask]> and should presumably operate in a similar manner as before.
I am told there will be archiving capability--assuming I remember to turn it on ;)
I have been told that the “old” archives cannot be migrated to the new structure; however, I have had a download of the current archive and hope to be able to find a way to publish this archive as well as older ones I have on file somewhere. There is much valuable (still) information, at least for some of us.
There are 240 subscribers (nominally) to this list, FYI.
Cheerio….
