I can't currently locate the Internet source for this. It is a large
document (121 pages for the Revision 6 Final dated 1992) which is
distributed in Postscript format, which makes it easy enough to print
out.

"For copy of the TIFF specification call (206) 628-6593"
Maybe someone in the US can do this - it's expensive
from here.

Non-Internet sources:
"On compuserve: GO ALDSVC, Message section #10"
"Applelink: Aldus Developers Icon"

The quotes are from the title page. There is an Internet ftp site (maybe
more than one) and I'll post it when I find it (unless someone else
does so first).

The section relating to multiple images is changed relative to
previous releases - see p36 "NewSubfileType". Tage 254.

The options specifically considered here are reduced resolution version
of another image, multi-page image (which would be what you would use,
but which a cross-reference indicates was originally conceived for a
multi-page fax) or transparency mask. These options are indicated by
bit flags.
